TOTENWALD (Dark Punk)
Amongst the smoke-filled basements of the Berlin underground lurks the dark punk quartet Totenwald. Existing as an anomaly in their scene since 2014; they are more inspired by the early 80s roots of Berlin’s anarcho punk and Neue Deutsche Welle sound rather than more typical punk or hardcore tropes. Their unique, signature style is as eclectic as the band members themselves: a hurricane of new wave glitz, chorus-drenched post-punk melodies, and piercing saxophone solos, all under the sway and allure of Trish’s frenetic, echoing tales of resistance to an impending dystopian future.

I AM THE FLY (Synthpunk)
Das hinter Fliegenmasken verborgene Duo I Am The Fly macht minimalistischen Synth-Punk, der die Zuhörer mit düster zischelndem und schneidendem Sound in das Jahr 1978 zurückversetzt.
Flirrend und aggressiv erinnern sie an wütende Insekten, die sich mit einer verzerrten, beißenden Orgel und einer monotonen alten Drummachine, einem puristisch gehaltenen Bass und einem manchmal melodiösen, manchmal fast wahnhaften Gesang mit resigniertem Nihilismus und naturwissenschaftlichem Halbwissen gegen die Menschheit formieren.
