Geplant als längerfristige Veranstaltungsreihe, stellt sich Tarcy von Fight Like A Grrrl Booking mit dem ersten Konzertabend unter dem Titel „SUPPORT YR SISTERS #1: BERLIN“ im Bandhaus Leipzig am 24.09.2022 vor. Ziel ist es, die Sichtbarkeit von Bands mit hohem Flinta* Anteil in der DIY-Underground-Szene zu erhöhen. Dazu haben wir (das Bandhaus und FLAG) drei der coolsten aktuellen Berliner Bands eingeladen: Banana Of Death (ihr kennt sie noch aus dem Bandhaus-Livestream, Brackwasser (Punkstars bei Fauchkrampf! Music Agency) und Rose Rage (pure 90s Riot Grrrl, I love it!!)!
Als local act werden THE HEROINE WHORES (wer auch sonst!?) ihre Schwestern supporten und den Abend eröffnen!

„Mal Richtung Doom, mal Richtung Punk, beruht der Sound des Trios mit dem Bandnamen stets auf verzerrten Saiteninstrumenten und brachial gespieltem Schlagzeug. Ihre Musik wird häufig als ungewöhnlich, aber mitreißend beschrieben und kommt vor allem in schwitzigen Kellern zur Geltung. Banana of Death sind sehr laut, man kann sich also eh keinen Genrenamen zuschreien.
2018 erschien ihr erstes Album “Go away, I’m talking to Johnny”, nach vielen Jahren im Proberaum. Aktuell arbeiten sie an ihrem zweiten Album.
Banana of Death sind Teil des sehr guten Berliner DIY-Bandkollektivs BRUNO IST DAGEGEN. Unter anderem dort haben sie mit vielen genialen Bands auf vielen verschiedenen Bühnen gespielt, was sie auch noch eine Weile zu tun gedenken.“

“If Rose Rage was a person, she would be the in vitro daughter of Daria Morgendorffer, Lydia Lunch, and Kathleen Hanna.
Rose Rage is a noisy, daring, explosive Grrrl gang founded by Rebecca Riveiro in 2019 in Berlin. She writes the song on guitar/vocals/ drums and is backed up by a drummer and a bass player when playing live. Sweet like ice cream and angry like Courtney: 90’s Rock Sundae for the Grrrls topped off with Riot cream and a Punk cherry bomb on top!
Rose Rage raises her voice against social injustice, advocates recipes for dismantling the patriarchy, and passes on singing any love songs: „I prefer to leave the songwriting of love songs to others and rather focus on creating the soundtrack to the revolution.“
